  CentOS 6.4 (64bit) install Python 2.7.5

  Add Date : 2016-10-02

  CentOS 6.4 (64bit) install Python 2.7.5

(1) To ensure that yum can use, if you uninstall the default python 2.6
 a. to the mounting plate Packages found in the rpm package python2.6

b. execute rpm -Uvh --replacepkgs rpm package name .rpm to install the original version of python, so yum can work

(2) install the GCC, with the following command (before installing python, best confirm gcc is installed, otherwise the ./configure stage will be incorrect report.)
 #yum install gcc gcc-c ++

 (3) 2.7.5 download
 # Wget http://python.org/ftp/python/2.7.5/Python-2.7.5.tar.bz2

 (4) to start the installation
#tar jxvf Python-2.7.5.tar.bz2
 #cd Python-2.7.5
 #. / Configure
 #make
 #make install

After (5) Even normally python2.7 installation is successful, the system defaults to the python is still version 2.6, which is based on python2.6 yum to work properly.

So I want to point to the system default python version 2.7.
# /usr/local/bin/python2.7 -V
 # Mv / usr / bin / python /usr/bin/python.bak
 # Ln -s /usr/local/bin/python2.7 / usr / bin / python

 (6) Fixed yum error:
a. is now running yum command, being given. Tip python wrong version. So we should still point to the old python2.6 yum version:
vi / usr / bin / yum

 . B in the open file in the first line, which is designated python environment that line of code, modified to:
#! / Usr / bin / python2.6
