  Focuswriter is an open source, cross-platform text editor that runs on Linux, Windows and MAC OS X systems. The software has a hidden interface to provide an independent and free environment.

Focuswriter supports txt, RTF and ODT format files, allowing users to set the timer and alarm, also has automatic save and spell check function, support some new themes and translation of more than 20 languages.

Available in the latest version of focuswriter 1.4.5.

Users can install via PPA and support the following systems: Ubuntu 14.04, 13.10, 12.10, 12.04, Linux Mint 16, 14, 13 and Elementary OS 0.2.
