sudo zypper install python-lxml

Add Cinnamon library to your system, and update source:

sudo zypper refresh

Installation Cinnamon:
sudo zypper install -t pattern "Cinnamon Desktop Environment"

To be able to use Cinnamon By default, we have to install and run startx (xinit package):

ypper install xinit

Configured to run startx, Cinnamon load the default settings:

echo '#! / bin / sh' >> ~ / .xinitrc
echo 'exec gnome-session -session = cinnamon' >> ~ / .xinitrc

Set the execution permissions for ~ / .xinitrc file:

sudo chmod + x .xinitrc

Start Cinnamon:

sudo systemctl start xdm.service

OpenSUSE 12.3 users to install (similar method)

Install dependencies:
sudo zypper install python-lxml

Add the library, and updates

sudo zypper addrepo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/Cinnamon:/Factory/openSUSE_12.3/ Cinnamon
sudo zypper refresh

Installation Cinnamon:

sudo zypper install -t pattern "Cinnamon Desktop Environment"

Cinnamon to use as the default installation startx:

zypper install xinit

Set startx, to make cinnamon loaded by default:

echo '#! / bin / sh' >> ~ / .xinitrc
echo 'exec gnome-session -session = cinnamon' >> ~ / .xinitrc

Set the execution permissions for ~ / .xinitrc file:

sudo chmod + x .xinitrc
