August 25, 2015, KDE Plasma 5.4 release team announced on Plasma 5.4, before we have introduced, bringing new services, more beautiful interface, a new icon set, eye-catching look more beautiful, detail View.
Well, now we look at how to install it.
If you are a user KUbuntu 15.04, install Plasma 5.4, only you need to add KDE Backports PPA to your software sources can be upgraded. Added Kubuntu backports PPA no strict recommendations as may be just part of the KDE desktop upgrades, application suite, Kubuntu development framework or specific configuration file.
Of course, if you like the current stable KUbuntu 15.04, not recommended upgrade.
Upgrade command:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa: kubuntu-ppa / backports
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Complete the upgrade. If no error occurs, restart your computer for changes to take effect.
If you do not use Kubuntu, that is, you are using a version of Unity Ubuntu, Kubuntu should first install the desktop package (you can find a desktop package in Ubuntu Software Center to install).
To undo these changes and downgrade, use PPA- removal tool rollback:
sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge ppa: kubuntu-ppa / backports
