  G Mic is a powerful GIMP plug-in, an open and fully functional framework for image processing, providing several different user interface transformations / processing / filters / common visualization data sets. G'Mic is available for Linux and Windows. G'MIC provides a window that allows users to add more than 500 filters and preview results to a photo.

G MIC 1.5.8.5 The latest version has been released.

Users can install G'Mic 1.5.8.5 with PPA (Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna)

Open a terminal and enter the following command:
Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: otto-kesselgulasch / gimp-experimental
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install gmic

This is a GIMP plugin that installs the GIMP PPA commands as follows (which PPA provides version 2.8.8 for Gimp):
Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: otto-kesselgulasch / gimp
